1.
I am a lost cause Stuck on my last hope Fist over fist Trying to reach the end Of my rope (but it never ends, never ends) I look with aviator eyes At skyscraped city skies Growing to know This is so much bigger than me, So much better than me This is my city Ill take what I want This is my city This is my last chance To make something happen This is all that I've got To take my shot (these city lights will be the only ones who hear my hear voice tonight) Some nights its fireworks And other nights you throw darts but to be honest I don't even know where to start I got one foot in this door And im praying that I got more growing to know this is so much bigger than me so much better than me I'm a living understatement, Another face in the crowd They've never seen a heart beat this loud
2.
Throw me to the shark tank The novelty's worn off And now im gone (thanks a lot) Currently My self is esteem Is my greatest enemy And Im gonna lose (I always do) When under appreciation Becomes every day situations Its time to move on And now im gone This is as good as it gets This is the way everything will be alright Honesty don't fail me Cuz honestly I don't know What to believe Im layin my heart out on the line Go ahead and let it out Tell me everything you know Cuz I feel it my throat Rapidly Its tightening This heart string is your rope You can wrap it around my neck Whatever you choose Promise don't forget When miscommunication Becomes everyday devastation Its to time to move on And now im gone Im not one to just let things flow by I want to go to the river and drink till its dry Cuz I got a thirst and hunger that's hard to beat Longer than the summer, stronger than its heat You get what you pay for, and this is what you got You're as good as gold, till the shine wears off Pick me up Let me down Drag my body across this town

Can you feel the change in the air? its turning winter here and we feel it in our nails, they're broken and they're frozen im learning to be considerate so consider this a change of heart im shaking like a house of cards but im not as stable, so tell me now are you willing, are you able? shake the dust off your old jackets its November in Texas, and its getting colder legends are dying left and right and we're just getting older reggie can you hear this? we're wondering where fall went And where all the money was spent With nothing to lose lets hit these streets made of ice With our headphones on, The shuffle of our feet perfectly on beat We'll make the soundtrack to our lives this is closest we'll get to walkin on water and I sure don't want to forget so here's to these memories please don't melt away in sping
4.
I’m ascending rooftops Looking out across this town When I finally realize I am finally home now We waste the day away Just driving in her car Man, It’s only been a year Why does it always seem so far We waste, we waste the day away, Listening to the words of Chris Conley Oh, the places that you’ll go You can always cover up And they will never know All the things you left behind A feather in your hat or a bruised black eye Took me a year Till I could finally understand Buildings don’t make a city great It’s the people that you love (the moments that you make) I listen to my heartbeat Do you hear what it says? “Kid you’ve got a lot to learn, Don’t give up on me yet.” We sail, we sail, we sail our ships With our loose lips Till we drown and till we sink Sometimes, sometimes I wonder Write me back when you get this When you find out who you are Man we’re going nowhere How did we ever get so far? And for every bridge we learn Every lesson that we’ve learned We are finding out it’s our turn Sometimes, sometimes I wonder (You’ll move mountains kid)
5.
Stop! Think right now Who are you gonna love when im gone? Girl! Better think twice Before I get up and move on And this dance that we do everyday Is leaving me tired and I must say That these shoes have taken their wear So we built this house far above the ground Promised ourselves we'd never come down But girl, even nails have the tendency to pull themselves apart Promise don't forget Those three words you said (think of all the letters, think of all the letters on my wall) Go! Get outta here! The streets are calling out your name Don't! Don't look back The site you'll see is bound to be heart attack me and these sidewalks know how it feels To feel the pressure of everyone's heels Socks don't have to match to do their task But we're two left shoes tied to the past So gather all your clichés and roll them into one Grab your knife, pin it to my back, then we'll be having fun broken receiver The midnight deceiver No we never stood a chance
6.
This is my blood These are my veins Do you see what runs through it Don't you ever think I could lose it This is my blood These are my veins I want to trace my life In wet cement At least my footprints So everyone can see this wholehearted misstep legacy but we all know it's too fast to dry my legs are getting tired and old and I, I'm ready to die This is my blood These are my veins Do you see what runs through them Don't you ever think I could lose it This is my blood These are my veins Anthems of hope and misguided fears Is how I'll remember These past few years With bittersweet melodies and desperate dreams Our stories are amazing But we fall apart at our seams (it seems) despite all of my failures I am not afraid of these present times I will rise just like the phoenix, Burn my name across city skies Take your lives, Make your legends, Pass them on, pass them on Open my eyes, Tear my throat, We carry on, we sing our song We're not home yet To all the sharks And all the flames We have taken down your names It's our turn, it's our turn
